Actors Anonymous Theatre Company
(aka The Drama Queens & The Drama Kings)
... was established in 1997 as an outlet for actors with real jobs (mostly teachers) to be artistic and give money to local charities. The actors felt "addicted" to acting and needed group therapy in the way of performing plays.
These actors and actresses volunteer their time and energy to perform in, and crew for our shows.
We've given over $25,000 in cash and tickets to charities and scholarship funds such as:
- Hoof and Souls Horse Rescue and Sanctuary
-OutYouth in Austin for LGBTQ Homeless Youth
-Reece's Rainbow Down Syndrome Adoption Grant Foundation
- Vacation Bible School at Sachse First United Methodist Church
- Scholarships & Speech & Debate teams at Naaman Forest High School & Garland High School
- Scholarships for Prenatal Classes and Carseats at Baylor Garland
- New Beginning Center Domestic Violence Shelter
- The Women's Shelter of Arlington, Texas
- Association of Children for Enforcement of Support
- Galaxy Counseling Center
- The Achievement Center of Texas (schooling for the mentally & physically disabled)
- Alzheimer's Association
- Teacher's Cheer Funds at Lyles M.S. and Garland High School
- Leukemia research
