Finally a Musical Theatre program that is truly inclusive! Adaptive Musical Theatre includes all of our friends with Special Needs, including those who are nonverbal and non-ambulatory! The Center for Educator Development in Fine Arts (CEDFA) is excited to offer our first 12 week Adaptive Musical Theatre Curriculum that will walk you through each AMT Unit step-by-step for each class. Just press play!
Each week a video takes you through check-ins, physical warm-ups, discussion questions and analysis of the story, characters and technical aspects of the musical studied that week, musical numbers with easy and fun choreography for students to follow, acting exercises, critiques and exit tickets. It's all there for you in one video!
This Adaptive Musical Theatre curriculum, as well as our lesson plans and resources, has been tested for 5 years of class (including virtual) and 18 adapted original musicals. Elementary and Secondary Theatre, Music, Dance and Special Education Programs can all use this curriculum.
Perfect for any actors ages 5-95 with and without Special Needs.
